Screenings.

Screenings are 15-20 minute sessions designed to take a broad look at a child’s speech and language skills and determine if further evaluation is needed. Screenings are typically performed in the school setting with participating daycares, preschools and elementary schools. In-office screenings can be scheduled, as well. Screenings are $60 and include a brief screening report with findings and recommendations.

Evaluations.

Evaluations can span over the course of 1-4 sessions taking into consideration the child’s needs and readiness, along with varying therapeutic dynamics. Evaluations consist of parent interview, standardized testing (if appropriate), clinical observations and play routines to assess the whole child. Following the completion of a full evaluation, a comprehensive report is written and shared via parent meeting.

Therapy.

One on one therapy takes place primarily in my Valley Village office. Private in-school or in-home sessions can be arranged based on availability with an additional time/travel fee. Family member attendance and participation is dependent on each family and child’s needs. Therapy plans (type, duration and frequency of sessions) are determined based on what is needed to meet the specific goals of each individual case.

Parent Coaching / Family Enrichment.

This service is offered individually for families who desire or require additional support in optimizing communicative interactions and integrating strategies into the home. Parent coaching teaches caregivers how to implement therapy strategies into daily routines, how to deliver helpful cues and how to measure progress. Families are mentored on how to deal with resistant behaviors, how to implement positive reinforcement and so much more!
